Eckerle Zhuhai on the way to CO2 Neutrality

The Eckerle Group aims to achieve climate neutrality. Supporting this target, Eckerle in Zhuhai recently organized an event titled “CO₂ Go Zero – Energy Conservation, Emission and Consumption Reduction Starting from Me,” primarily focusing on promoting environmental harm minimization. What made this occasion unique was its approach to instilling a sense of responsibility at a personal level, cascading up to company-wide practices.

Colleagues and their families participated in this two-day, one-night event at the Xiangwo Mountain Ecological Park in Xinxing County, Yunfu City. The presentations centered on strategies for achieving carbon neutrality and reducing carbon emissions, emphasizing the concept and specifics of carbon peaks. Participants were briefed on Eckerle’s crucial environmental objective of attaining climate neutrality. The speakers also shed light on initiatives such as Science-Based Targets (SBTi) and Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), aligning with our goals based on the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol.

As the day turned into evening, teams were formed, engaging in lively discussions on our objectives and aspects of cost savings. Representatives from each group actively presented numerous practical and effective suggestions. Even the accompanying children, representing the younger generation, voiced their opinions bravely.

The primary objective of this event was to translate Eckerle Group’s environmental goals and policies into action. It also vigorously promoted green and low-carbon production and lifestyles at a personal level. The occasion also showcased Eckerle Zhuhai’s strong sense of social responsibility and its unwavering commitment to achieving climate neutrality, as outlined within the framework of the  Prettl GO Zero initiative.
