Eckerle Hungary celebrates 30 years in Hungary
This year Eckerle Group celebrates its 30th anniversary in Hungary. On this occasion, Eckerle Automotive Bóly Kft held a partner meeting.
The jubilee event was not only significant because of the past three decades, but the last two years have been of great importance also. From 2020, Eckerle, which employs more than 3,500 people worldwide, became the property of the Prettl Group. The Prettl Group is a German-owned family business in the same way as Eckerle is. Its areas of activity include the automotive, energy, electronics, component manufacturing, and strategic build-up areas. The current owner, Prettl Group, operates in more than 20 countries, in over 40 locations, and employs 15,000 people worldwide.
Erhardt Prettl, the owner of the Prettl group of companies, also attended the event. For the first time, he met the business partners and partners of the Bóly company. Simultaneously Central European management members of the Eckerle sites represented themselves from Ottersweier- Germany, Cluj-Napoca-Romania, Kiskőrös-Hungary.
The speeches of special occasions did not quote the past, but they focused on recent aspirations and goals for the future. Prettl intends to give a prominent role of injection molding center to Bóly in the group by strengthening its high-level automation activities. The main products of the site are plastic base bodies of carbon brush holders manufactured for the automotive industry, household products, and industrial appliances market.
The German owner especially thanked the Hungarian state and the local government for their support. Visitors could watch a new image film of the site premiered for the first time. After that, a company visit took place, where the interested parties received detailed information about the production processes and various product groups.
In parallel with the partner meeting, the employees celebrated with a joint cake.
