Our path to CO2 neutrality – Eckerle Go Zero Workshop
The Eckerle Group has set a new goal: climate neutrality by 2025.
With this goal, the Eckerle Group wants to contribute to a sustainable future, so that a high quality of life is ensured in the future, which does not come at the expense of the environment. As part of the Prettl Group, the Eckerle Group has joined the “Go Zero” campaign to set the course for our CO” neutrality.
In an intensive two-week Go Zero workshop, 5 optimization projects were defined (lighting, compressed air, heating/air conditioning, production processes, plant-specific topics) which shall contribute a big step towards climate neutrality. Regarding the optimization projects, everyone got an overview of the current situation in Ottersweier within the first week of our workshop. This was necessary in order to gather first ideas for possible actions.
During the second week, the following key indicators were assigned to these actions: CO2 saving per year, energy savings per year, payback, and investment to be able to prioritize the measures. With the help of the key figures, an action has been drawn up for each optimization project, in which the individual measures are specified and quantified. With the help of our Go Zero team, we are constantly aiming to turn this plan into reality and are following it with the highest level of commitment.
