Girls’ Day at Eckerle
We also joined Girls’ Day in Ottersweier. Girls’ Day aims to allow young girls to gain experience in professions typically considered masculine. At Eckerle, we also set the ambitious goal of introducing more girls to manual/industrial trades.
At our site, we welcomed eight participants from the surrounding schools.
In addition to visiting our production departments, the girls also had the opportunity to do practical work. They made a bookend and also engraved beer openers. The pupils needed various skills to complete the tasks, and they could try everything from drilling to sandblasting. Some also proved naturally talented in plastic welding; the results spoke for themselves.
It would be our great pleasure to welcome the participants as interns in the future. We are waiting for the girls again in 2024!
